Position Overview
ISPA Technology LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide cybersecurity engineering support for systems under the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I). The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding mission-critical systems and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
Key Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement, and assess security controls for Navy systems in compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
  • Support Authorization and Assessment (A&A) activities under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation within systems such as eMASS.
  • Perform security assessments and vulnerability analysis using tools such as ACAS, Nessus, and other Navy-approved cybersecurity tools.
  • Develop and maintain key cybersecurity documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Provide recommendations to system owners and engineers on cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Interface with government and contractor personnel to coordinate cybersecurity testing, remediation, and certification processes.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging threats and compliance regulations to proactively support secure system architectures.



Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or managerial discipline such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field OR high school diploma or equivalent plus 7+ years of relevant experience is acceptable.


  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E), or Assessment & Authorization (A&A).
  • Demonstrated use of Information Assurance tools including: DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Experience supporting DoD system accreditation or cybersecurity efforts for naval systems.



Salary Range: $80,000 to $150,000 based on years of experience and desired qualifications
