In the role of Civil EIT, we'll count on you to:
- Assist the Senior Engineer with studies, analyses, designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
- Support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams and water retaining structures
- Preparation of contract documents including drawings, specifications, design documentation and criteria, and cost estimates including critical reports for various new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, including dams, spillways, gates, outlet works, diversion structures, retaining walls, floodwalls, water conveyance structures, foundations, etc
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of hydropower, pumped storage and dam safety engineering projects
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for various projects
- Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
- Perform other duties as needed
- Some travel is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
