How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Production Associate (Cylinder Maintenance) will be responsible for loading and unloading high-pressure and liquid cylinders while assisting the Maintenance Team by visually inspecting and performing general maintenance on cylinder inventory. This position is based in La Porte, TX.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 am to 6:30 pm

  • Inspects cylinders before filling, following standard procedures required by the government, Airgas, and distributor standards.

  • Understands the hazards of various gasses, sizes, and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks.

  • Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse/material-handling equipment.

  • Examines returned cylinders for surface defects, dents, cracks, burns and performs minor maintenance of equipment and inspection of cylinders before filling.

  • Segregates out test cylinders and any defective cylinders.

  • Removes old labels, cleans cylinders.

  • Ability to perform heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.

  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

  • Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all other written communication.

  • Must be able to safely drive a forklift.
