Job Description JOB DETAILS Pay:$20.00 - 25.00 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Painters are responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Painters are expected to work in a safe, productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands policies and procedures.
- Quality Control:Inspecting paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance:Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment.
- Safety:Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Material Management:Mixing, matching, and managing inventory of paints, solvents, and other materials.
- Production Processes:Understanding and following manufacturing specifications and processes.
- Problem Solving:Identifying and addressing issues related to the painting process.
- Inventory Control:Tracking daily usage of paints, thinners, and other solvents.
- Paint Application:Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.
- Additional Duties: Complete all tasks as assigned bydepartment leadership
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing and/or painting experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require
- Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance
- Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people
- Extensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking
- Required personal protective equipment, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand tools
- Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
