Position: Project Manager - Alternative Delivery

Location: Austin, Texas

American Structurepoint has successfully completed more than 500 Alternative Delivery Projects and strives to deliver projects using innovative and alternative methods and techniques. Our professionals are experienced in supporting the successful development and delivery of our client's alternative delivery programs and projects. Service areas include program management, procurement, operations, design and construction compliance, public outreach and stakeholder coordination.

This person will be a key member of the firm's Alternative Delivery Support team advising and consulting owners to facilitate successful delivery and development of Alternative Delivery Programs and Projects. This person will work to help identify additional opportunities both with our existing clients and potential clients. This position will be both internally and externally focused and as such, an ability to develop relationships of trust with internal and external clients is a must. This person will be expected to assist in the development of strategic growth plans. Domestic travel will be required from time to time.



Responsibilities

    Represent our client owners in providing Alternative Delivery Support Services including strategic planning, identification of alternative delivery candidate projects, procurement, contract development, project management, risk management, project controls, quality management, and construction management.
  • Serve as pricing and risk facilitator on progressive project delivery (CM/GC, and PDB).
  • Interact with government and public officials on program matters requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Develop and provide training for our clients and the industry in Alternative Delivery.
  • Support and providing training to Alternative Delivery Implementation teams in items such as project controls, contract compliance, and change management.
  • Focus on expanding our Alterative Delivery Operations and growing the Alterative Delivery group.
  • Identifies and effectively pursue opportunities to assist existing and prospective clients with Alternative Delivery Programs.
  • Responsible for defining staffing needs for the delivery of services, providing direction and oversight to Project Managers, other staff, client staff and our teaming partners.
  • Prepare and present to industry partners such as local contractor associations
  • Tracking and resolution of program and project issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years in the transportation engineering business.
  • Broad technical knowledge of the transportation construction and engineering industry nationally.
  • Design-Build management experience
  • Professional Engineer, ability to get licensed in multiple states
  • Experience or potential in sales and marketing of services, as well as the ability to build client relationships.
  • Proven leadership ability, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
