The Senior Manager, HR Operations is responsible for leading and evolving the strategic direction and execution of HR operational functions across the North America HR organization. This role oversees the HR Operations team (HR Specialists, Payroll Specialists, Benefits and Wellness Programs) and serves as a key liaison with other HR teams (HRBP, Total Rewards, Talent Development, HRIS, Talent Acquisition). The Senior Manager ensures a high level of employee service, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across North America, while driving continuous improvement and harmonization of HR practices.

This is a full-time, exempt, office-based role reporting to the Head of Human Resources, North America, based in our Portsmouth, NH location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR Operations team responsible for employee support, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, data integrity, HR systems support, and compliance initiatives.
  • Define and execute the HR Operations strategy in alignment with broader HR and business goals, ensuring scalable and efficient processes that support a positive employee experience.
  • Drive process optimization across all HR operational touchpoints; establish performance benchmarks and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
  • Partner with key HR functions (HRBP, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HRIS) to streamline service delivery, improve employee self-service, and support evolving business needs.
  • Oversee HR-related compliance initiatives including SOX controls, annual EEOC/Affirmative Action reporting, and policy governance.
  • Champion employee experience and culture through life cycle touchpoints including onboarding, employee engagement events, and office culture initiatives across North America.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and assess the impact of changes to HR systems or benefits administration.
  • Ensure regular updates and governance of employee policies, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal communications and HR leadership to ensure effective rollout of process changes and HR updates across the company.
  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to HR leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Manage departmental resources, budget planning, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure an aligned and positive work environment and culture throughout all North America offices (regular local Town Halls, patient visits, employee events, etc).



QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:




  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5+ years in a management or senior leadership role within HR Operations.
  • Proven success in leading HR operational teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Deep understanding of HR process design, systems, compliance, and employee service delivery.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and employee-centric work environment.
