Job Description:

Are you passionate about embedded systems and eager to design the next generation of smart, safety-critical technology? We're seeking a skilled Design Engineer - Firmware to join our team in developing intelligent, connected solutions that set new benchmarks for performance and user experience.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop embedded firmware for safety and connected products using C/C++

  • Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software, and product) to bring innovative concepts from ideation to launch

  • Build automated test frameworks, conduct code reviews, and support real-world validation through field testing

  • Document test procedures (e.g., FMEA) and contribute to production test plans

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate timelines and elevate product quality

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of experimentation and engineering excellence

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in embedded firmware development

  • Proficiency in C/C++, real-time operating systems, and hardware communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)

  • Experience with microcontrollers and interpreting electronic schematics

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence) and Agile workflows

  • Bonus: Knowledge of Functional Safety standards, high-level programming (Python, Java), or GUI development using Qt

  • Preferred: Experience with AI/ML for embedded systems, including model deployment on edge devices
