We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, focus on financial analysis including month-end close analytics, provide external audit support, prepare financial statement footnote disclosure, and focus on internal controls. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and partner cross-functionally to drive various transactions and projects. The Corporate Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting a strong internal control environment, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Records and Analysis:
- Maintain and analyze financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support period-end closing processes.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
External Audit Support:
- Serve as a key liaison with external auditors during financial audits and reviews.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Address auditor inquiries and implement any audit recommendations.
Financial Statement Footnote Disclosure:
- Prepare comprehensive financial statement footnote disclosures for various topics.
- Ensure disclosures are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and incorporate them into disclosures.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Support and enhance a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Assess and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure control processes are integrated effectively.
Internal Communication and Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to provide insights and updates on financial performance and accounting issues.
- Partner cross-functionally with various departments to support transactions and special projects.
Account Reconciliations:
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Corporate or Public Accounting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
