Surgical Hospital: Hospital Administration-LLUMC Job Summary: The Grant Manager is responsible for establishing and directing a comprehensive mission-focus approach to overseeing and managing a high value grant portfolio, throughout its lifecycle, in support of Sickle Cell Services, Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly, Women's Health and Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery/Comprehensive Health and Weight Loss Center programs, as well as other services offered that could benefit from grant management across the organization. These programs are uniquely challenging, resource intensive, and utilize cutting edge technology and/or are under supported by conventional revenue streams. Researches grant funding resources and grows relationships with funding agencies. Prepares and submits required reports and evaluations as outlined in the in the administration of each grant. Utilizes highly developed written and verbal communication skills to make professional presentations to small and large audiences. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Master's Degree in healthcare, business, finance or related field required. Doctoral Degree preferred or in progress is acceptable. Minimum five years of grant writing and administration experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry. Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of government and non-government grant funding resources related to service line programs. Knowledge of grant compliance, reporting, and evaluation standards of accountability and transparency in funded programs/projects. Knowledge of national and state benchmarks and public reporting related to the service lines and programs using the grant funds. Able to research and decipher grant funding resources that align and support service line healthcare priorities. Read, write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, and collaborate; accept direction. Think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
