Could you be the full-time onsite Servicing Supervisor in Los Angeles, CA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your supervisory and locomotive maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and safety-focused teammates.

You'll lead a team of approximately 20 employees and oversee the maintenance of 55-60 locomotives, ensuring compliance with federal inspection standards and fostering a safe, efficient work environment. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance, safety, and HR departments), conduct workplace audits and inspections, and develop training programs to enhance team performance and compliance, and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Leading a safe work group by promoting and enforcing Alstom best safety practices, including quality execution of job briefings, risk assessments, risk mitigation, employee engagement and empowerment, and root cause analysis problem solving. ,



  • Reviewing workloads and assigning appropriate staff to complete repairs, maintenance inspections, as well as special projects in a timely fashion. ,



  • Planning work schedules and assignments to ensure that equipment is maintained within maintenance guidelines and that no equipment is run past required federal inspection intervals. ,



  • Ensuring appropriate materials are on site and staged prior to assignments to expedite repairs. ,



  • Monitoring equipment performance and condition of repairs by auditing staff and completed tasks. ,



  • Maintaining a neat and orderly workplace with the support of employees and proposing recommendations to improve safety and efficiency of the work group through employee engagement. ,



  • Monitoring work order completion using Trapeze or other Electronic Asset Management (EAM) systems. ,



  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate employee timekeeping using Kronos. ,



  • Developing and implementing inspection policies and procedures and a schedule of routine inspections. ,



  • Conducting regular workplace and outpost audits to ensure compliance with all safety policies, programs, and legal requirements."

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. ,



  • Experience or understanding of railway industry operations and locomotive maintenance. ,



  • Knowledge of Electronic Asset Management (EAM) systems like Trapeze and timekeeping systems like Kronos. ,



  • Familiarity with safety protocols, risk assessments, and quality execution of job briefings. ,



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ,



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ,



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. ,



  • Ability to lead and engage teams in a collaborative and safe work environment. ,



  • Adaptability to work in both shop environments and outdoor settings. ,



  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
