Bio-Rad Clinical Diagnostics Group (CDG) is one of the leading global providers of tests for infectious and autoimmune disease screening, diabetes screening and monitoring, blood group typing, data management software solutions as well as quality control products for clinical laboratories.

We are seeking to fill a key leadership role for Associate Director, Software Test Engineering. Your typical day includes driving the strategic direction of the software test engineering team, collaborating with cross-functional system verification and validation groups, reviewing design control documentation, overseeing automation testing frameworks, developing organizational KPIs, and mentoring test leads to ensure the successful delivery of medical device software and clinical assays to market.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Lead the Software Test Engineering team for clinical diagnostics, focusing on medical device software and assay development.
  • Develop and implement robust test strategies, automation frameworks, and ensure end-to-end verification and validation excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with the System Verification and Validation team to ensure comprehensive system-level testing.
  • Drive organizational development through the use of health metrics, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support sustaining programs for legacy products in the field, ensuring compliance and quality continuity.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Work Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in software / system test engineering roles, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Deep experience in automation development, system verification/validation, and medical device regulations.
  • Background in clinical diagnostics or in vitro diagnostic devices (IVD) strongly preferred.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $174,600 to $240,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
