Job Title: Construction Superintendent Location: Seattle, WA (Northwest Region) Salary: $145,000 - $166,000 Manson Construction Co. was founded in 1905 as a small pile-driving business supporting the early development of Seattle's waterfront. Summary The Superintendent is tasked with supervising and coordinating all activities on site. This position demands extensive experience in construction management and strong leadership skills. The Superintendent is responsible for effectively scheduling and coordinating materials, subcontractors, personnel, and equipment to insure the safe completion of the project at the specified quality. Must be a leader and champion for safe working conditions and work practices; commitment to hazard recognition and control must be obvious and unrelenting. Job Location Main office in the Northwest is in Seattle, WA. Projects typically range from Port Angeles to Ferndale, WA. Potential to have jobs in Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Less than 25% of the time will require working at a desk. This position will require relocations or travel depending of the project location and requirements. Physical Demands Position is primarily a field position and will require travel, including visits and monitoring of construction job sites. Employees must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc). The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
