Job Description
The Cardiac Procedure Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patients for surgical services and outpatient diagnostic services for patients within the Baptist Health Care System. The primary role of this position includes scheduling via phone, faxes and electronic orders received through order facilitator from the ordering physician's office. This position adheres to and ensures all of Baptist's surgical guidelines are followed when scheduling surgery cases. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the surgery schedule, processing surgery reschedules and cancellations, scheduling other outpatient diagnostic procedures and providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians' office staff, physicians and ancillary service departments. This position coordinates with the insurance verification and precertification teams and other related patient access teams. Responsibilities
