*Job Title: Audit Manager* Job Description As an Audit Manager, you will lead a team responsible for conducting audits of key business processes. Your role will provide assurance to management and the Board of Directors regarding the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance. You will ensure the reliability of information and compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Responsibilities * Manage a team of direct reports, leading and developing employees into a highly effective team by setting clear performance objectives and goals, providing regular and honest feedback, and creating individual development plans. * Review workload across the team and manage the process by distributing work appropriately. Provide feedback to ensure team members understand their roles and provide timely and effective direction. * Handle the selection, performance evaluation, and salary administration of co-workers. * Oversee the operational and fiscal activities of the department, including staffing levels, budgets, operational controls and processes, and financial goals. * Analyze business processes and issues while managing departmental policies, procedures, and standards to enhance efficiency and work quality. * Develop solutions to problems while considering department goals. * Lead the team through changes within the department and organization to achieve results related to corporate strategy. * Coordinate audits of company controls, financial records, and operations. * Present audit findings and recommendations to management and verify that management implements recommendations by the scheduled completion dates. * Assist the VP-Internal Audit in preparing materials for Audit Committee meetings. * Manage consulting services to assist in the design, testing, and implementation of internal controls relating to new products, processes, and systems. * Oversee assistance provided to the company's external auditors. * Ensure compliance with Sections 302 and 404 of SOX and MAR by working with all levels of co-workers. Essential Skills * 8 years of audit experience * 4 years of management experience * Proficiency in MS Office Suite * Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting standards * Knowledge of audit methodologies and standards * Familiarity with internal control concepts, SOX/MAR requirements, and the COSO control model * Experience with data and analytics * Understanding of business and financial practices Additional Skills & Qualifications * Ability to mentor, counsel, train, provide work direction, and foster team building * Strong interpersonal skills for building working relationships * Expertise in business flow analysis, process evaluation, and risk assessment * Diplomatic skills in presenting sensitive issues * 3 years of recent and advanced work experience in accounting/auditing with management experience Why Work Here? Work Environment This is an onsite position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $144000.00/yr. Bonus is 18% on performance, 401K with up to 6% match, profit sharing program (varies from year to year) 20 days of PTO, after 5 years it goes to 25 days, after 10 days caps out at 30 Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Milwaukee,WI.
