Summary:

Provides a variety of human resource assistance to the plant HR Manager, including recruitment and on-boarding activities, employee relations, and payroll processing. Ensures compliance with company policy and procedures, as well as local, state, and Federal regulations. Partners with Team Member Services to address HR issues in a timely, confidential, and professional manner.

*This position requires applicant to be bilingual Spanish.
*This position is temporary for an undetermined amount of time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support flight arrangements and track candidate travel data
  • Provide assistance with all aspects of the H-2B program
  • Contribute to recruiting efforts, hiring events, and new team member orientations
  • Facilitate onboarding tasks, including new hire paperwork, pre-employment screenings, I-9 documentation, and personnel file creation
  • Ensure accurate time and attendance records for payroll processing; prepare hourly payroll data for submission
  • Uphold EEOC compliance throughout the recruitment and hiring process
  • Assist with coordinating team member arrivals and departures at the Portland Airport
  • Create and maintain accurate Excel tracking files for multiple locations
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, including filing and document management
  • Support additional projects and duties as assigned

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal, written, and reading comprehension)
  • Minimum of one year of experience in data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • At least one year of relevant experience or training in a similar role

Preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments working relationships with all departments
  • Familiarity with ATS and HRIS systems such as JazzHR and UKG

Total Compensation: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour.
