About the Role

As a hardware engineer, you will develop new products, redesign the actual product's schematic in ECAD software, prepare the test and validation plan, technical specification for the prototype, do the validation tests of the prototype or manage it within or outside of HARMAN. Perform root-cause analysis for hardware failures and implement corrective measures. Reporting the development status to your manager is your responsibility. Usually work on more projects based on the priority list.

What You Will Do

  • Develop cost-effective designs analog audio electronics products.

  • Design electronic hardware such as: low noise amplifiers, audio compander circuits, demodulator circuits, IF filter and amplifier circuits, ADC and DAC circuits, power-supplies for portable and stationary RF devices, and battery chargers.

  • Generate engineering specifications for products and systems, analyze and define values and tolerances for various parameters of products and systems.

  • Hands-on soldering of PCBAs in the laboratory.

  • Search and provide alternatives for electrical components.

  • Measure the product for validation and create reports from the measurement

  • Design and conduct real world tests for electrical, EMC and thermal integrity and experience with design for manufacturability.

  • Works and participates in a product team environment, supporting other team functions: software, mechanical, process, test, and quality engineering and works with vendors to guide the manufacture of devices to fulfill the specified requirements, to reduce cost, enhance performance, or all of them.

  • Plan and execute tasks defined by the new product development and implementation project plans.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • A thorough understanding of schematics and electrical drawings.

  • MSc or BSc degree in electrical engineering.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product development.

  • Recent experience in hardware design, implementing and testing electronics products.

  • Intermediate English (written and verbal).

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Acoustic knowledge.

  • Radio frequency knowledge.

  • EMC/EMI standards and testing methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or similar electronic hardware development environment.

  • Hands-on experience with PCBA hand soldering, assembly and modification of physical PCBA's.

  • Firmware languages/Phyton programming.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of Audio Precision.
