Job Description
TITLE: Supplier Pricing Specialist LOCATION: Houston, TX SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Some overtime, and some weekends will be required Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.
- Effectively communicate with customers, drivers, supervisors, and colleagues, providing concise instruction or information
- Utilize effective listening skills to collect required information and escalate pertinent information
- Work directly with management daily; as well as other related tasks and projects as assigned
- Assist in answering incoming phone calls
- Create monthly pricing reports
- Monitor and maintain incoming pricing from all suppliers
- Maintain internal cost for suppliers and all Sun Coast locations
- AXXIS maintenance; add and maintain terminals, suppliers, products, and discounts
- Analyze and maintain accurate pricing with supplier, ensuring cost competitiveness and alignment with market trends
- Perform detailed cost breakdowns and comparative analysis of supplier pricing to identify potential savings and efficiencies
- Research supplier cost discrepancies
- Maintain Laid-in site data, implement necessary updates, and conduct biannual and quarterly audits
- Market updates and midday price revisions, if needed
- Create and send daily customer price quotes
- Daily price quote assessment and adjustments
- Submit monthly price quote reports to each sales rep for evaluation
- Receive and review incoming contracts from customers
- Prepare and send outgoing contacts to customers
- Perform all tasks necessary to gather and assemble the information required to develop the scope and specifications for solicitation of bids, as well as manage the daily business of contracts.
- Review and analyze contract terms and conditions and interpret contract requirements prior to submitting bids to customers
- Prepare, maintain, and submit generic contract templates
- Prepare reports and contract documents of various stages, including drafts, changes, renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure contract requirements are effectively implemented
- Various contract audits as needed
- Advise internal departments on ways to comply with contractual obligations
- Perform scheduled and ad-hoc, internal control, reporting, and other process duties
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with changing priorities and deadlines
- Other related tasks and projects as assigned by director
Requirements:
- Must be willing to work onsite. Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the office
- Must have a flexible schedule
- Must be motivated, able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management and work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective supplier and cross functional team collaboration
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address pricing discrepancies, supplier issues, and cost optimization challenges
- Excellent data entry skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have proficient organizational, oral, and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in the fuel industry
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in an office environment
- SAP experience
