Position: Seasonal Temporary Laborer Non Student
Supervisor: Landscape Maintenance Supervisor
Classification: Temporary - 67 days or less in a calendar year

Work Location: Chanhassen - MN Landscape Arboretum

Overview: Assist the Arboretum Horticulture and Collections Department with the care of gardens, natural areas, greenhouses, research plots, and seasonal displays at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and Horticultural Research Center.

Job Description
100% Perform maintenance horticultural maintenance

  • Weeding, weed whipping, mowing, planting, removing brush, watering, pruning, spreading mulch and fertilizer utilizing various types of garden and landscaping equipment such as pruners, shears, trees saws, shovels, pitchforks, ladders, and cherry pickers.
  • Pick up trash and debris; cleaning buildings, moving furniture, etc.
  • Loading and unloading trucks.
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, climb 8-foot ladders, and be able to lift 50 pounds for extended periods of time.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range:$18.00 per hour
