Provide strategic legal counsel on commercial and regulatory matters, including contract negotiation, RFP review, and document drafting. This role is onsite in our Overland Park, KS office location.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate client and third-party business agreements.

  • Serve as legal advisor on risk management and dispute resolution matters.

  • Serve as legal advisor on regulatory compliance in healthcare technology operations including privacy, security and regulatory frameworks.

  • Legal research as needed. Assist in developing legal and compliance training programs and policies.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Juris Doctor degree and an active bar license (Kansas license will be required)

  • At least 5 years of legal experience with 2 years focused on healthcare information technology or Software as a Service (SaaS) business models.

Preferred:

  • Strong executive presence with proven ability to influence business decisions and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex technology transactions in regulated industries.

  • Experience with government contracting and/or intellectual property rights.

  • Record of innovation in legal operations including process improvement, training, and policy development

  • Deep expertise in healthcare regulations including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), state privacy laws and cybersecurity frameworks.
