Description
The Assistant General Counsel - Consumer Banking provides legal advice to the Company on issues affecting consumer deposit and loan products and services. S/he works closely with senior management and other internal partners to manage effectively the legal, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with such products and services. The responsibilities of the Assistant General Counsel - Consumer Banking include, but are not limited to: * Provide expert legal advice on laws, regulations, and standards that affect consumer deposit and loan products and services. Such laws, regulations, and standards include, without limitation, the Dodd-Frank Act; the Federal Reserve Act; regulations enacted by the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, CFPB, and other federal and state regulatory agencies including the "alphabet soup" of federal consumer banking regulation; and federal and state banking and consumer protection laws. Organizational Relationship The Assistant General Counsel reports to the General Counsel or an Associate General Counsel, as assigned. Position Qualifications Knowledge & Skills Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
