What you'll do

  • Safety - Oversee the various components of the plant safety program, including the plant safety committee and ensure effectiveness of safety initiatives
  • Quality - Oversee the plant quality organization. Investigate, evaluate and act to maintain high quality standards. Support the food and product safety systems in the plant
  • Operations - Oversee plant supervision to foster teamwork and drive departmental efficiency improvements. Monitor performance of production lines and champion ongoing process improvement. Oversee and monitor maintenance program
  • Resource Control - Actively manage both expense and Capex spending in the plant. Drive cost reduction efforts through process improvement activity
  • Personnel - Coordinate hiring activity with human resources to meet crewing requirements and anticipate and manage attrition. Oversee staff training and development, especially management trainees
  • Employee Relations - Promote and maintain effective communications across all levels within the plant. Administer and enforce Company and Plant policies, procedures and best practices. Maintain effective Labor/Management relations, through fair and consistent administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

What you'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree engineering or equivalent
  • Production department management experience
  • Business and financial
