Position Overview

The Gap Closure Marketing Senior Manager is responsible for providing project management support to Gap Closure Program Development leadership to enable the Market Access Screening Sales Team to sell the Cologuard gap closure program to payers. The role will encompass a variety of functional responsibilities, including but not limited to: the creation, testing, and roll-out of collateral for the Market Access Sales team including B2B sales strategies addressing health insurance companies; the creation of collateral for Gap Closure program leadership to use both externally and internally; the creation of material related to Gap Closure program analytics and performance measurement; and assistance with lead generation including conference selection, attendance/presentation, and follow-up. In addition, this role will meaningfully contribute to project-based efforts that will inform strategic business development and growth of the gap closure program.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the efforts of the Gap Closure Development and Sales teams as they execute strategic initiatives and make key decisions focused on the continued growth and development of the business.
  • Drive the development, creation & refinement of marketing assets, ensuring all customer-facing materials are compliantly vetted in a timely fashion through the internal medical and legal review (MLR) process.
  • Identify & participate in payer-focused conferences & sponsorship opportunities.
  • Support the creation of a compelling Value Proposition & messaging for payer initiatives, including for the expansion of the employer channel.
  • Participate in market research, insights, and analytics strategy for generating salient insights to inform payer marketing strategy and solution development.
  • Conduct data analytics / performance measurement and presentation development for team leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our business partners on other Exact Sciences teams (e.g. C/X, Sales, Marketing) to successfully drive efficiencies and enhance growth trajectories.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to travel 30% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing or technology related field.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience within sales, account management, or marketing.
  • 4+ years of experience marketing specifically to health insurance payers within the US market. Keen general business acumen, attention to detail, and analytical rigor.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, curiosity, resourcefulness, and positive attitude.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite, with an emphasis on advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, MHA or other master's degree.
  • Knowledge of cancer diagnostics, molecular diagnostics or preventive health markets.
  • Relationships with Payers or leaders within those organizations desired. Experience with presentation development and data analytics as prepared for an executive management-level audience.
  • Exposure to working directly and/or collaborating with B2B sales teams / sales management.
  • Experience working with large, national insurance companies (Payers) and/or reimbursement.

Salary Range:

$129,000.00 - $208,000.00

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
