Job Description:

The AI Advisor is responsible for assisting our development team and the broader Nixon Peabody community in leveraging our AI infrastructure and solutions, which are designed to deliver cutting-edge, time-saving capabilities to attorneys across the firm and in support of our clients. In this role, you will consult, teach, advise, test, and help drive success in our AI efforts. Will have the capability to write high-quality Python, work with APIs (both consuming and serving), and possesses domain knowledge of the law. A remote work arrangement is available for this position.

  • Develop and implement AI training programs.
  • Work with AI models using diverse datasets.
  • Evaluate and optimize AI initiatives for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI performance and results.
  • Stay current on the latest developments in AI technology.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Document processes and findings.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI training methodologies and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience in training AI models and writing prompts. Legal experience preferred.
  • A legal background is preferred and may include experience in legal practice, holding a JD in a non-traditional legal career path, working as a paralegal, or having relevant legal industry experience, including with legal software vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience in training AI models and writing prompts.
  • Familiarity with AI front ends (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience in data analysis.

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:

  • Rochester, NY: $107,00 to $158,950
  • Boston, MA: $118,000 to $174,900
  • Chicago, IL: $118,000 to $174,900
  • Los Angeles, CA: $118,000 to $174,900
  • Washington, DC: $118,000 to $174,900
  • New York, NY: $129,500 to $192,500
  • San Francisco, CA: $129,500 to $192,500

In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range(s) are Nixon Peabody's good faith estimate of the annual salary(ies) it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
