You'll be the go-to expert for all equipment programming and training-especially on systems with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually

Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on equipment with PLCs (routers, waterjets, CNC machines, saws, robots, etc.)

  • Design and develop optimal manufacturing processes through hands-on evaluation and applied research

  • Analyze and manage production, labor, and material costs; support production planning and scheduling

  • Prepare comprehensive reports to monitor trends and support decision-making

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including ITAR requirements

  • Ensure equipment readiness through routine maintenance coordination and adherence to procedures

  • Oversee process and product data entry through programming and system management

  • Develop and launch an apprenticeship and formal internship program for new team members

  • Lead initiatives in process improvement, training, and quality assurance

  • Assist in plant layout planning, SOP development, and production systems enhancements

  • May temporarily rotate shifts during onboarding and training phases

  • Embody and promote tkMMS core competencies and values

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

  • Must meet ITAR compliance requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology preferred; Associate degree in Engineering considered with relevant experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing engineering role (equivalent experience considered)

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tool design, and equipment use

  • Familiarity with quality assurance and safety standards

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Project management experience

  • Effective communicator and able to manage fluctuating workloads independently
