This position reports to the Chief of Surgical Oncology and will hold a faculty appointment within the Department of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. About Jefferson's Breast Health / Surgical Oncology Program: Jefferson Health is proud to offer a comprehensive, enterprise-wide Breast Health Program that delivers high-quality, multidisciplinary care throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The program includes 15 breast surgeons practicing at six hospitals accredited by both the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), with services extending across 11 outpatient practice locations. The program is supported by seven advanced practice clinicians (APCs) and seven dedicated nurse navigators who play a critical role in patient care coordination. Each year, the program manages nearly 2,000 newly diagnosed breast cancer cases, with approximately 88% classified as analytical cases. Patients have access to a full spectrum of supportive services, including cardio-oncology, palliative care, oncology nutrition, physical therapy, oncology social work, financial counseling, and cancer genetic counseling. On-site imaging services are available at multiple locations, and the program participates in the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment (BCCPT) Program-an initiative funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to support underserved populations. Jefferson's Breast Health Program is also distinguished by its strong clinical research infrastructure, offering a robust portfolio of ancillary, correlative, and interventional clinical trials. With consistently high enrollment volumes and collaboration across the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, the program remains at the forefront of advancing breast cancer research and care.
