Job Responsibilities:

This is a very exciting role, but this individual would be key in developing themselves to become a future supervisor.

  • The Lot Operations Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily movement, placement, and integrity of vehicles on the auction lot. This includes drivers and porters, coordinating with other departments, ensuring vehicle readiness for sale, and enforcing safety and operational protocols. Running hourly reports to check the "off-spot" numbers, cars needing to be moved to and from shop areas, these reports are run through Operations Control Center, or better known as OCC.
  • using Workbench to see how efficiently our crew vans are working. This employee will be on the lot most of the day supervising and lending a helping hand when it comes to the zone admins, staging team, and crew vans. Walking them through processes of becoming more structured and organized in their duties.
  • Performing quality checks or (QC) in sale lanes and inventory lots to ensure drivers are following parking protocols and that zone admins are continuously monitoring incoming and outgoing units in their zone by methods of crunching and barcoding..
  • Constant checking of emails, as that is where we receive all requests to move units. Commercial accounts, dealer services, mech shop, body shop, detail shop, and Vehicle Entry are all the departments that will request vehicle movement. It is up to us when it comes to delegating these requests. Whether it will be done by a HIT team, crew van, staging team, zone admin, tow truck, or forklift.
  • Working with the inventory control coordinators (ICC) to assist in locating vehicles and/or updating the tracker inside of units.


Skills Required for Success:

  • Strong time management and task delegation
  • Calm under pressure, especially on sale days
  • Situational awareness across a large lot and multiple departments
  • Tech-comfortable (inventory software, mobile scanners, etc.)
  • Reliable, with a "lead by example" mindset
  • Able to coach lot workers while balancing operational demands


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience; OR 9 years' experience in a related field
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.


USD 23.65 - 35.48 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $23.65 - $35.48/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
