SALARY RANGE $35.78 - $47.32WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS Waukesha County's Medical Examiner's Office is seeking a Deputy Medical Examiner Supervisor to join its team. This profession involves exposure to death on a daily basis and interaction with grieving individuals. Job functions include assisting in administration and supervision of investigative staff, working to investigate deaths as they occur in the County and performing other duties as required. Responsibilities are performed under the direction of the Medical Examiner Operations Supervisor and Forensic Pathologists (Medical Examiners). The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and be able to demonstrate the adaptability needed to work in a fluid environment in which pace and caseload can vary. Having organizational skills and being detail oriented are essential. Individuals should have the collaborative attitude necessary to work with peers to accomplish daily tasks as well as maintain a professional demeanor when working with outside agencies (Ex., Law enforcement, funeral directors, etc.). Leadership abilities desired for this role include strong listening / communication skills, relationship building and proficient time management as well as being goal and vision oriented. Work Schedule: Day shift consisting of five (5) eight-hour days, with rotating on-call shifts on weekends and holidays. The expectation is that periodic schedule adjustments may be required to maintain contact and engagement with personnel on second and third shifts as well as provide adequate coverage during times of scheduled and/or unplanned employee absences. The 2025 starting salary range is $35.78 to $47.32 per hour (depending on qualifications) coupled with a comprehensive benefits package. ===================== Prior to hiring, candidates are required to pass a driver's license and criminal background check. Minimum Training & Experience Requirements Supervisory experience desirable.
