The Administrator/Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition Support provides operational support to the business units that operate and use data from the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System used for Corporate and Great Basin control and data gathering. This position serves the Centralized Operations/Gas Control department and frequently interacts with Information Services and division Technical Services to facilitate changes, upgrades, and incident/change tickets involving SCADA software, communications, display and field Remote Terminal Units. This position develops and maintains a roadmap for SCADA system improvements designed to meet changing needs. Also included in these job functions are policy and procedure development and training for the above activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

There are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. This position requires a minimum of five years of relevant work experience. This position requires knowledge of computer operating systems. Knowledge of IT architecture and OSI's PI Software desired.

A degree in engineering or computer science is preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Direct and oversee all business support activities for SCADA, GMAS, PI Application, PI Webparts, and TIPS
  • Conduct user training and respond to user inquiries
  • Monitor system performance
  • Be aware of industry practices to recommend measures to ensure system and application security
  • Facilitate the problem and change process through interaction with users, administrators, vendors and field personnel
  • Communicate system status to appropriate department heads including changes and down time
  • Implement processes to ensure SCADA data integrity is maintained
  • Assist Telecommunications support to identify network issues
  • Assist Division Technical Services with the design of telemetry sites
  • Assist Division Technical Services to coordinate the installation/replacement of RTU's
  • Identify, investigate and recommend new hardware/software solutions for SCADA
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the various internal departments that utilize systems related to SCADA to ensure that data requirements are met while also ensuring that system integrity and security are maintained
  • Develop, maintain and train Gas Control and SCADA policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the detailed design and testing of system enhancements, including development of specific testing examples and documentation of systems
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job


SALARY DETAILS:

Las Vegas: $93,380 - $140,070
