Overview

We are seeking our new DevOps Engineer I to join the Axway team!

The Axway Cloud Onboarding organization is currently seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer who has a high level of technical expertise in industry leading Infrastructure as Services (IaaS) providers like AWS and Azure services. They will have a proven track record of helping organizations to implement and operate mission critical production workloads.



Responsibilities

Hands-on implementation of cloud and hybrid (Axway Managed Cloud and Sass) based infrastructure solutions include both virtualized compute and storage.

* Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions that span the managed cloud and hybrid environments in AWS and Azure.

* Implement VNet to deploy mission critical production applications using AWS and Azure infrastructure services.

* Provide Technical guidance for customer onboardings and work with Customers to establish G2C, C2C standard network connectivity options.

* Install, configure, implement and support Windows/Linux servers including management of user/group accounts & policies, integration to Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services

* Manage monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Icigna or equivalent

* Manage other hosting related technologies such as proxy/web filtering, load balancers, WAF, backup and replication solutions, and so forth as DRBD, GlusterFS, EFS, etc.

* Provide Level 3 support for the cloud team on Azure, AWS, Storage, Networking, Linux platforms.

* Monitoring platforms Prometheus, Filebeat, Loki-Stack, Icinga, etc.

* Define SOPs and participate in Audits and DR activities.

* Ensure all solutions comply to corporate security policies and standards.

* Gather design requirements from stakeholders (e.g., Business and application groups) and translate into functional and technical requirements.

* Automate repeatable operations activities to optimize delivery time.

* Able to perform Capacity Planning on customer environment on Managed Cloud and provide recommendations for improving availability and cost optimization.

* Manage the lifecycle of all CR's that arise, driving for root cause of problems to prevent incidents from recurring.

* Participate in after-hours deployments and scheduled implementation activities as required.



Qualifications

* 3+ years experience with working with AWS and Azure Infrastructure services (Architecture/administration/operations)

* Working knowledge of Azure services: VM, Azure Blob, AKS; Azure DNS; RBAC Load balancers; VPN; VNet, Private Link; Transit Gateway; WAF; Database Services; and SSO.

* Strong knowledge and experience with Kubernetes, Terraform platforms

* Experience with containerization in Azure and AWS

* Proficiency in Linux/Unix OS RedHat or SUSE is required

* Understanding of Terraform, Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell scripts

* Requires minimal supervision and collaborates well with R&D, Operations and other Support teams.

Preferred

* Good working knowledge of Networking concepts and tools: Routing, Switching, Firewall Security, Proxy, Reverse Proxy, HAProxy, Nginx

* Experience in using the tools: GiT, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible

* Experience with System hardening guidelines e.g., CIS, NIST

* Experience with Infrastructure Monitoring tools is a plus

* Experience in working with Service Management and collaboration tools like Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira is preferred

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure on non-routine and highly complex tasks.

* Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work in a multicultural global teams (NA, EMEA, APAC)

* Must have customer first can do mind set

* Education: Bachelors or Master's Degree in CS/CE or equivalent
