We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Apprenticeship Coordinator to lead the growth, management, and success of our Marine Apprenticeship Program. In this role, you'll work closely with apprentices, employer sponsors, and partners to ensure alignment with program goals, regulatory standards, and the transformative mission of AMIkids. What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the Marine Apprenticeship Program, from recruitment through completion and post-program support.
- Build and maintain relationships with employer sponsors, educational institutions, and community partners to grow the program.
- Coordinate apprentice selection, placement, and onboarding to ensure successful matches with partners.
- Track apprentices' progress through regular check-ins, data collection, and outcome reporting.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal apprenticeship standards and labor regulations.
- Provide leadership to program staff, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Deliver training to internal teams, apprentices, and employer sponsors on program policies and expectations.
- Resolve disputes or challenges between stakeholders with professionalism and objectivity.
- Travel locally or regionally as needed to visit worksites, attend meetings, or support partner relationships.
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years managing or supporting a registered apprenticeship program (State or Federal).
- Strong understanding of workforce development and the marine industry preferred.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and candidate/employer matching.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship-related labor laws and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyze data, track performance, and present reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- OSHA certification or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel as part of your role.
