Description

We are hiring a Sr. Network Engineer to design and implement the hardware and software needed to support the Steelcase data network.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Design and implement the hardware and software needed to support the Steelcase data network.

* Design of the network architecture, generating the specifications for all of the hardware & software, and configuration and installation of the network components.

* Design and implement hardware and software needed to support the Steelcase voice (VoiP) infrastructure.

* Manage projects with many tasks and coordinate multiple resources for large network projects.

* Monitor network performance and implement appropriate tuning operations. Provide troubleshooting operations for network performance and connectivity problems.

* Use various analyzers, monitoring and troubleshooting software packages and other hardware and software-oriented tools to diagnose and correct problems.

* Work with Application Developers to monitor the network utilization of new business applications or major changes to existing applications, prior to the changes or new applications getting put into production.

* Analyze network security and make recommendations to minimize network security risks.

* May telecommute up to 2 days per week. Approximately 8 hours per month of off-hours work required, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or early morning (2am-5am) to accommodate available windows to perform computer network repairs or upgrades.

* Less than 5% domestic and international travel required to other Steelcase locations.

Who you are:

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a closely related field of study.

* Five (5) years of experience as a Network Engineer.

* The five (5) years of experience must have included the following: 1) Cisco routers and Cisco switches, including routing, MPLS, QoS, Gateways, ACL's, VLANs, stack, and subnetting; 2) Cisco CAPWAP wireless infrastructure, including Flexconnect, Cisco DNA, and wireless controllers; 3) IT monitoring and management tools, such as Entuity; 4) DNS management; 5) Experience following up with carriers in troubleshooting context for MPLS, Internet circuits, SIP, and PSTN services; 6) Cisco VoIP infrastructure including Unified Communication Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection (CUC), Unified Contact Center (UCCX), IM & Presence (IM&P), Jabber, and Unified Attendant Console Advanced (CUACA).
