Information Security Specialist needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work hybrid (one day a week on-site) in Washington, DC.
*Public Trust is required prior to starting* Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles. * Strong understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure,). * Hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Nessus Security Center, BigFix, Wireshark, etc. * Knowledge of incident response processes and procedures * Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA). * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
