Global Trade Compliance Program Manager

Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Global Trade Compliance Program Manager. Our Global Trade Compliance Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure the organization adheres to all applicable international trade regulations, including U.S. and foreign import/export laws. This role will lead efforts to mitigate trade compliance risks, manage relationships with regulatory agencies, and provide strategic guidance on trade-related matters. The Global Trade Compliance Program Manager will work cross-functionally with legal, supply chain, logistics, finance, tax, procurement and other business units to ensure full compliance with trade regulations and drive operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive global trade compliance framework that aligns U.S. and international regulations while advising leadership on risk mitigation, optimizing trade costs, and supporting global business strategies. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, oversee classification, documentation, and audits, and ensure ongoing compliance through proactive monitoring, training, and collaboration across key business functions..

  • Maintain a comprehensive global compliance framework that integrates both U.S. and International laws.
  • Advise leadership on trade compliance risks and recommend strategies to mitigate exposure.
  • Work closely with Finance teams to manage duties, tariffs, and trade cost optimization strategies.
  • Develop a centralized but adaptable approach to monitoring and implementing regulatory updates across the company's global footprint.
  • Ensure harmonized HTS and ECCN classifications while accounting for country-specific nuances.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customs agencies.
  • Regularly engage with the respective agencies for licensing, inquiries, and audits.
  • Stay ahead of geopolitical developments affecting sanctions, embargoes, and market access.
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Ensure adherence to denied party screening procedures and embargoed country restrictions.
  • Ensure compliance with all import/export documentation, licensing, and customs requirements.
  • Manage trade compliance audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Partner with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize trade compliance processes and cost efficiency.
  • Support global business initiatives by providing expertise on trade regulations and market entry strategies.
  • Lead internal compliance assessments and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or Law Degree, with Master's degree or professional certifications desired.
  • Certification in trade compliance (e.g., Certified Export Specialist, Licensed Customs Broker, CUSECO) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in global trade compliance roles.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international trade laws.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation with complex global supply chain operations.
  • Experience performing import/export classifications, licensing, and regulatory audits in a multinational company
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and train internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of free trade agreements (FTAs) and duty optimization strategies.
