Summary:

This Data Analyst will, preferably, have experience in DOD medical supply chain operations and is interested in a challenging, dynamic, and intellectually stimulating work environment and will be ready to improve clinical outcomes, enhance readiness and training, control costs, and improve interoperability.

As a Data Analyst, you will apply your technical expertise and problem-solving skills while working to address gaps in data quality that impact program efficiency and effectiveness and maximize the benefits of standardization.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize your expertise of databases and system data to manage external data feeds, integrate data into existing database platforms, facilitate data facets of the standardization process and perform analysis
  • Analyze procurement and inventory data to identify medical supply items that align with the scope of existing Standardization Actions.
  • Update product information within databases and standard item cross reference
  • Document discrepancies in item identifiers, attributes and/or industry product categorization based on verified product information.
  • Provide recommendations for master item data corrections in accordance with the system owners' procedures to Senior Data Analyst and PM for quarterly reports
  • Coordinate with the Implementation and Communication Team on findings that impact current Incentive Agreements or product conversion at the end-user level
  • Provide regular reports and briefings to Program leadership on project status, performance
  • Build required contract deliverable reporting as needed or ad-hoc reporting upon request
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret data trends or patterns in complex datasets
  • Identify process gaps and recommend enhancements to Senior Data Analyst for review

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of and experience with relational databases and building queries to retrieve and analyze data (Microsoft Access, SQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and experience using software to create or analyze datasets (Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming
  • Strong understanding of data models, database design development and data mining
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years combined experience in data analyst and/or functional analyst roles preferably in medical logistics
  • Ability to pass a background check

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this is $70,000.00-$75,000 annually.
