Description

The East Business Unit (EBU) has an immediate need for a Business Unit Deputy PA (Project Analyst) Manager to support the Southeast Area. This role will work closely with the EBU PA Manager, and will assist in providing leadership, development, implementation and management of the PA program in the EBU. This is an exciting growth opportunity which will be opened initially to internal candidates.

Job Expectations:

The Deputy PA Manager is an important position, working closely with the EBU PA Manager to assist in developing a plan for and implementation of specific goals and objectives to enhance Project Management support. Additional responsibilities include the following:



  • With assistance from the PA Manager, provide leadership to Project Analysts including managing resources and workflow/work sharing, project assignment, managing performance, providing development opportunities, training and mentoring.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction for PAs on PA-specific services, tools, and related tasks on projects, including specific instructions, recommendations and advice with problem solving.
  • Assist in the hiring, training and onboarding of new staff into the PA group. Ensure new employees are integrated into the company in a manner that helps them succeed, including periodic follow-up assessments and training if required. Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to PAs within assigned Service Line.
  • Work with Project Managers to direct/perform complex tasks to accomplish specific project requirement on program management or project(s) of major scope, complexity and/or risk.
  • Collaborate with other PA leaders, Risk Analyst, FBPs and enterprise groups as appropriate (i.e. marketing, PSE, DMO, CSMs)
  • Provide support to the Southeast Project Delivery Leader on activities as identified
  • Work closely with the BU PA Manager to establish a culture of teamwork, collaboration, service quality, WorkSmart proficiency, PM and MM proficiency and assist with training for each of the following:

    • Meet or exceed quality goals
    • Meet or exceed budget goals (including overrun and DSO reduction)
    • Meet or exceed schedule
    • Meet or exceed client service expectations, both internal and external
    • Promote the use of an effective and engaged team
    • Support BD efforts with scope and fee development and review


  • Achieve personal utilization as defined in business plan
  • Provide PA service on projects as assigned' these projects are anticipated to be in Southeast but are not necessarily limited to one area.
  • Support the development of a culture of risk awareness, communication, and management. Assist leadership with monitoring and maintaining high risk projects, discussions of risks and mitigation measures/plans/action items and capture and reporting with current tools.
  • Implement and provide training on new tools and WS changes as introduced
  • In collaboration with the BU PA Manager, participate and assist in leading monthly BU PA team meetings to include project performance, training, and sharing of best practices.
  • Develop a collaborative PA culture through use of BCs platforms
  • Address PA performance challenges and provide positive feedback for excellent performers
  • Collaborate with the F&A group as required to leverage the PA and Accounting teams combined strengths


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • Demonstrated proficiency with current BC tools and processes as a successful PA.
  • Previous accounting experience preferred; candidate must be familiar with or be willing to learn accounting practices, systems and tools.
  • Candidate should be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; MS Project+, Power Point and Access skills are a plus.
  • Candidate should be able to anticipate project needs and have the ability to identify work assignments independently.
  • Candidate should be comfortable working directly with senior managers and technical staff.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
  • Successful candidate will be proactive and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment required.
  • Ability to work under multiple deadline pressures required.
  • Candidate should be willing to work occasional over-time.
  • Since this is an internal hire, no relocation is required.
  • Position may require some routine travel to various other offices

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $80,000 - $109,000
Location B: $88,000 - $120,000
