Job Summary The Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) is an executive-level sales leader responsible for managing regional strategic account managers and key decision-makers for Avient's strategic accounts. Based in the United States or Europe (preferably near Cincinnati, OH; Boston, MA; or Geneva, Switzerland), this role focuses on developing long-term, productive relationships with key customers to drive exceptional growth, profitability, and innovation. The GKAM directs global customer initiatives, delivers value by leveraging Avient's resources, and sells at all management levels to build strong customer relationships. This position requires independent functioning, up to 75% travel, and strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate is dynamic, self-motivated, and passionate about strategic sales and customer relationship management, bringing energy and professionalism to daily routines while coaching and mentoring matrix personnel across business units. Essential Functions
- Profitable revenue growth, including robust new business development.
- Achieve stated material margin targets as a percentage of sales.
- Achieve stated STNB (Sales to New Business) targets annually - Establish, track and close new business targets consistent with long term growth objectives at designated Key Accounts with an ability to work globally across Avient and the customer organizations.
- Approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successful utilization of customer centric selling skills and tools, such as use of scorecards, business reviews, EVE tools, high, wide, and deep, 5 warning signs, prospecting & new account calls, development and support of a robust sales funnel, collecting ARs, avoidance of bad debts, cross selling, and effective CRM system management.
- Ability to sell value to the customer and leverage Avient's resources globally. Must be versed in Avient's wide spectrum of products and services.
- Develop, execute and manage key / strategic account plans and new product introductions.
- Coordinate cross functional teams including technical and customer service in support of account objectives.
- Adds customer value by acting as a business consultant to customers' key management; develops a thorough understanding of customers' business, overall initiatives and operational issues; advises customer on best Avient product(s) and solution(s) to accomplish their objectives; coordinates global sales agreements with BU pricing specialists, and/or special considerations as needed.
- Implement marketing programs and provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities; recommends to Marketing changes in Avient product/service mix by evaluating product results and competitive developments; market development activities to include performing analysis of customer plans and creating sales forecasts and account strategies.

Education and Experience
- 7+ years in strategic account management, preferably with a global OEM or with the packaging and/or consumer products sector
