Overview

QSC is seeking an experienced and self-motivated electrical engineering technician who is interested in audio and video to work in our Q-SYS division. QSC is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of networked audio, video, and control systems. QSC is a friendly and laid-back environment where "work hard, enjoy life" is literally one of the corporate values.

This position is located in the Costa Mesa, California headquarters, and is a hands-on laboratory position that is not eligible for remote work.

The primary duty of the electrical engineering technician is in-depth testing and qualification of QSC products, with an emphasis on networked audio electronics. The technician is also responsible for supporting the engineering staff with prototyping, design troubleshooting, and failure analysis, plus circuit repair and modification. Secondary duties of the engineering technician are test fixture creation and laboratory maintenance.

This role supports both new product development and sustaining engineering activities and will serve as a shared resource between multiple labs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple domains and adapting to shifting project needs as they arise.

The engineering technician must have an advanced understanding of electronics and electronic circuit troubleshooting. Experience with Class D audio amplifiers, SMPS power supply circuitry, high-speed networking, and video circuitry is preferred.

Base Pay Range $39.00/hr - 49.00/hr

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans and generous time off.

We will be accepting applications until a final candidate is identified.
