Sales Lead - Retail (Cave Spring)

Responsibilities:

• Ensures100% customer delight and satisfaction. Ensures customers are being greeted and acknowledged within 10 seconds and that their questions and concerns are addressed immediately in a timely and polite manner. Provides world class customer service.
• Provides ongoing training for Cashiers and operates cash register to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise. Ensures proper handling of all transactions at the cash wrap.
• Provides ongoing training for Cashiers on all Goodwill cash handling and processes related to different forms of payments -cash, credit, tax exempt, employee discount, store credit, gift certificates, gift cards, knowledge of voids, exchange, cash pickups, and providing appropriate change.
• Assists with promotions to include customer information, postings, special sign displays, etc.
• Assists in assigning cash drawers, along with the cash out procedures of cashiers.
• Ensures the sales floor, dressing rooms and overall cash register area are neat, merchandised, rotated, and organized at all times. Stocks and maintains counters, showcases and cash/wrap in a neat and clean condition at all times. Cleans dressing rooms and re-hang clothes, on a regular and as required basis.
• Assists with the review and adherence of markdowns, and boutique item pricing.
• Assists in the scheduling and execution of cashier's breaks, maintaining adequate cashier coverage during breaks. Assigns cashiers daily duties to be done during off peak times.
• Trains, develops, and overseas sales floor team members. Must be able to conduct hands on training and be proficient and meet physical requirements in every retail job.
• Adheres to all Goodwill and personnel policies with a high degree of integrity; follows good safety practices, including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Store Manager or Assistant in charge.
• Maintains Goodwill security, related to theft or pilferage and handling of cash receipts, according to the organization and Goodwill's policies, procedures, guiding principles and core values.
• May be asked to participate in activities outside of Goodwill.
• Attends in-service and related training as assigned by Store Manager in charge.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• 6 months Cashiering experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and customer service.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with managers, team members, customers and donors.
• Ability to work within a team situation.
• Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.
