JOB MISSION

TheManager, GTM Strategy - Direct to Consumer (DTC) role at New Balance is responsible for working with numerous cross functional teams across DTC (Direct to Consumer), merchandising, marketing, consumer insights, visual merchandising, and operations, to shepherd the go-to-market (GTM) end-to-end process for our DTC business.

You will own the seasonal DTC go-to-market strategy by facilitating governance, clarity, and accountability at each milestone. You will deliver a best-in-class experience in our owned channels for our target consumers by ensuring global and regional DTC alignment occurs and key milestone delivery dates are achieved. Our DTC channel is poised for aggressive growth and this role will be critical to delivering NB's operational excellence.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Orchestrate and optimize DTC GTM Process
    • Implement the global DTC GTM process from seasonal product kick-off (20 months before in-market) through the process, delivering in-market consumer-right stories that support brand and category goals
    • Plan and lead - with cross functional partners and category leads - a synthesis of the seasonal DTC strategy, creating and publishing seasonal content
    • Optimize the DTC GTM process in real-time as you encounter issues and/or ways of working improvements; inspire change management within related stakeholders
    • Be responsible for the thorough and timely execution of numerous global and regional deliverables across multiple timelines; partner with Sr. leaders to facilitate execution of the plan and realization of the desired consumer experience
    • Manage multiple concurrent seasonal milestones prioritizing your and other teams' work as demands overlap
  • Support the evolution of our Global GTM engine through a DTC lens
    • Work with our global GTM teams to find ways to streamline, improve, simplify our GTM processes end to end, positioning DTC to drive the evolution of our global processes

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) and 8-10 years of proven experience working in a relevant role (Product Creation, Merchandising, Project Management, Marketing)
  • Experience managing complex processes (defining requirements, facilitating progress, mitigating risks/blockers) that involve leading cross-functional teams; imperative the individual is organized/detail oriented and process-driven.
  • Professional and confident with exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to work with all levels of the organization, especially senior leaders.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and articulate the seasonal vision through content creation.

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
