We are seeking a CFO to lead our financial and administrative operations while driving sustainable growth and operational excellence. This executive position reports directly to the CEO and serves as a key member of the Leadership Team, playing a crucial role in shaping the organization's future.
This role is located on-site at our West Des Moines, IA headquarters. Relocation assistance is available.

Strategic Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop and execute corporate strategy, ensuring financial and operational objectives align with company goals
  • Lead financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to support data-driven decision-making
  • Oversee capital structure, investment strategies, and risk management initiatives
  • Drive digital transformation of financial operations and systems
  • Advise and educate employee-owners, leaders and the Telligen board on the financial health of the company
Financial Leadership
  • Direct all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax planning, and financial reporting
  • Establish financial reporting systems with controls and standards to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with GAAP, FAR, and other regulatory requirements
  • Lead annual budgeting process and maintain strong financial performance metrics
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and financial institutions
  • Optimize working capital and cash flow management
Administrative Oversight
  • Manages company's risk posture through programming, consultation with leadership team and managing insurance solutions
  • Lead administrative functions including facilities management, purchasing, and vendor relations
  • Direct contracts and compliance programs as company Privacy Officer
  • Oversee bids and proposals process, including pricing strategies and resource allocation
Team Leadership
  • Build and develop high-performing finance and administrative teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities
  • Ensure effective communication of financial matters across the organization
Qualifications Required
  • Four-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of financial leadership experience in financial management, budgeting, business plans and compliance
  • Strong track record of strategic planning and execution
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts and understanding the benefits and risks of contractual arrangements.
  • Experience with M&A, capital markets, and complex financial transactions
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • CPA certification
  • Experience with government contracts and federal accounting
  • Experience with Employee-Owned organizations or ESOP plans.
  • Technology or healthcare industry background
