Position Summary/Purpose: Under the supervision of a school social worker and/or administrator, the School Social Work Aide engages in tasks which provide for improved home-school cooperation. A School Social Work Aide advocates for the needs of students within the school and community. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidates must have a valid Wisconsin drivers license and a vehicle with liability coverage insurance policy to conduct home visits. This job also requires candidates to lift 8-10 pounds. Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED is required. College coursework in social services is desired. Experience Requirements: Knowledge of the needs of children and families in an urban environment. Previous experience working in a school environment is desired. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The salary range for the Full-Time School Social Worker position starts at $20,479.00 and increases according to a set salary schedule which is based on years' of work experience in the field of Social Worker Aide.
