The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

The People Analytics team collaborates across People & Talent and the WGU organization to uncover data-driven insights, understand the talent lifecycle, solve business challenges and enable transformational change. The primary purpose and function of the People Analytics Partner II is to function as a practitioner and advisor in people data and analytics. This includes using multiple data sources to create dashboards and visualizations that provide compelling, straightforward insights through storytelling. Additionally, this role will help build data literacy throughout the organization through communication and training on analytics tools.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and distribute insights through metrics, reports, and dashboards.

  • Provide strategic analysis of workforce data to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Develop and document new processes to accurately report on critical data.

  • Partner closely with colleagues and stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs, answer questions and provide recommendations.

  • Regularly support People & Talent process improvement projects by delivering metrics to support business case development and change management efforts.

  • Maintain integrity of people data by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input through auditing, troubleshooting irregularities and reporting issues.

  • Support ad-hoc report requests and provide end-user troubleshooting, using ticketing and/or tracking systems. Monitor reoccurring issues to recommend potential solutions to improve efficiency.

  • Ensure data governance by following policies and guidelines for securing sensitive data, including getting approval before sharing data with new stakeholders and teams.

  • Assist with Workday Reporting and Analytics releases/updates. This may include researching, testing, and communicating changes/enhancements, as applicable.

  • Act as a data literacy advocate by broadening internal knowledge of analytics and tool functionality through job aids and other training materials.

  • Manage multiple projects, including gathering and documenting requirements, creating plans and timelines while balancing priorities and being adaptable.

  • Collaborate closely with other team members to brainstorm, strategize, and complete ad hoc requests creatively, effectively, and efficiently.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Practical knowledge of importing/exporting, joining, and verifying data for use in reports, graphs, dashboards, etc.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a human resources, data analytics/data science, IO psychology or related discipline.

  • 3 years of data analytics, reporting, visualization experience or equivalent.

  • Experience with configuring and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and data visualizations.

  • Occasional travel for team and/or department meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of statistical modeling and predictive analytics.

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Quirkos, etc.)

  • Experience in organizational and survey design.

  • One or more years of experience in Workday reporting (including technical skills in report writing, advanced calculated fields, data sources, security and dashboard creation and maintenance) preferred.

  • Experience with Workday Prism, Discovery Boards, Worksheets and Slides a plus.

  • Workday Pro Certification (HCM, Report Writer, Integrations, etc.) a plus.

  • Experience with Service Now reporting a plus.

Position & Application Details
