Full Stack Software Engineer III : Cloud Focused

We are seeking a Cloud focused Full Stack Software Engineer experienced with technical design and implementation of new products or enhancements to existing applications, based on business requirements. This role participates in all phases of the development cycle: concept, technical design, prototype, code development, testing, release to QA and implementation. This position requires cross functional collaboration.

This position will be based to work a Hybrid schedule out of our Jack Henry Allen, TX or San Diego, CA office location or remotely within the US. Travel may be up to 10% for business meetings, training events, and conferences.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
• Performs system analysis and programming activities which may require research and timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production.
• Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
• Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Uses best practices and standard guidance to create and modify code.
• Considers how code changes will affect end users and internal teams.
• Participates in cross team projects as needed.
• Works on critical tasks and deliverables with minimal assistance, and sets and updates expectations on size, scope, and timelines.
• May represent team in cross-team meetings and discussions.
• Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Participates in the definition and documentation of standards.
• Plans unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of developed software.
• Debugs and troubleshoots issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions.
• May perform other job duties assigned.

What you'll need to have:

• Minimum of 4 years of technical experience in software development.
• Hands on experience with cloud technologies across front end, back end, and data layers.

What would be nice for you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in software development, or a related field.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.
• Experience with microservices architecture, especially on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with web UI development using native web components, javascript/typescript, and CSS.
• Experience with Go/Golang
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Engineering principles and practices within a professional discipline.
• Ability to assess circumstances using sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify root cause.
• Strong knowledge in the following areas:

o Knowledge in software development methodologies

o Domain and financial industry knowledge, especially Credit Unions

o Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans

• Works on moderately complex and diverse projects.
• Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate strong skills in the following areas:

o Software design and implementation

o Analysis and design at multiple-project level

o Research, analysis and problem resolution

o Communication and interpersonal skills

o Strong organization and time management skills

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, with minimal assistance, while remaining flexible to changing requirements.
• Ability to provide task estimates including effort and cost; adjusts estimates as needed.
