Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a highly organized Ship Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee key contractor operations in support of a high-visibility government program. As the primary point of contact for contract and program stakeholders, you'll manage daily project communications, documentation, and milestone tracking-helping ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of critical tasks.

Responsibilities



  • Responsible for all Contractor work performed and serve as the single point of contact for the KO, the Contract Specialist (KS), the COR and program customer.
  • Provide daily oversight in the areas of communications, documentation capture, writing, task tracking, briefings, and meeting support.
  • Develop and generate PowerPoint presentations, emails, documents, white papers, spreadsheets, graphs, and record meeting notes and action items.
  • Obtain and present information, prepare a variety of recurring and special reports, and provide input and editing to routine and non-routine reports.
  • Prepare executive and staff level correspondence and non-technical reports; maintain logs and records on incoming correspondence and follow up to ensure timely action; review outgoing correspondence to ensure material is compliant with office policies.
  • Receive and review data to determine completeness and accuracy; compile statistics and supporting analyses for use in decision-making; perform periodic review of office coordination and workflow and make recommendations to ensure effective and efficient unit operations.
  • Support the administration, collection and submission of routine data calls with fast turnaround times (between 4 and 24 hours).
  • Ensure all correspondence and documents are prepared in accordance with COMDTINST M5216.4 (series) to educate diverse audiences such as the Project Sponsor, industry expos/conventions and media.
  • Research suitable communication tools and products (web, articles, white papers, and similar type reports or articles) and provide recommendations to the COR that match these items to key calendar or acquisition events (i.e. keel laying, christenings, launches, commissioning's, delivery events, etc.).
  • Support the coordination of special programs and media events. Examples include researching and gathering information to respond to media queries required by technical instructions and maintaining a repository of program-related media.
  • Monitor the client's IMS, using Primavera, for consistency and accuracy on a weekly basis, report new discrepancies, and monitor existing discrepancies.
  • Maintain the IMS to document internal recurring events and milestones related to operations. Incorporate updates to the IMS on a bi-monthly basis or as needed.
  • Available to the COR, KO and KS between the hours of 0700 and 1600 CST, Monday through Friday, and shall respond to a request for discussion or resolution of technical problems within one business day of notification.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience and at least 4 (four) years of experience in a project management role.
  • Knowledge of ship construction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 software suite, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with Primavera
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Work Location: On Site - Bayou La Batre, AL
