Job Title: Business Analyst

Location(s): Woodland Hills, CA

(Hybrid 3 days a week)

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including policy processing, claims handling, and financial components such as premium calculation and insurance transactions.
• Data Analysis & Technical Skills:
  
  
  
  • Proficiency in SQL, data profiling, and data analysis.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications, particularly for ETL processes.
  • Skilled in preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents.
  
  
  
  
• ETL & Tool Familiarity: Experience working with ETL tools such as Informatica and DBT to guide technical teams in implementing transformations.
• Business Transformation: Capable of capturing business logic and converting it into technical transformation rules for implementation.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  
  
  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to engage stakeholders to elicit needs, conduct workshops, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
  
  
  
  
• Analytical Leadership:
  
  
  
  • Adept at in-depth analysis of existing data sets.
  • Provides guidance to technical teams on how to implement new business requirements.
  • Capable of interpreting complex insurance requirements and converting them into actionable data requirements.
