Job Description

This position exists to implement a new zoned maintenance approach. Its primary purpose is to supervise tradesman maintaining campus.

  • Coordinates and supervises respective zoned maintenance teams charged with the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment
  • Spot-checks work completed by team frequently and reviews work for safety, neatness, cleanliness, efficiency and overall effective results
  • Performs written and verbal feedback daily
  • Communicates inside and outside the organization to ensure schedules are aligned with campus needs
  • Ensures safe, effective and efficient work practices
  • Performs annual performance reviews and provides applicable feedback
  • Reviews and verifies training and safety requirements for assigned personnel are met
  • Performs routine to complex assignments when required using existing procedures, applicable codes, standards
  • Works within the department, other campus entities and outside contractors/vendors to complete designs, projects and programs
  • Review plans and drawings and makes corrections/comments/suggestions for future projects
  • Attends in-person and remote meeting when required
  • Works with building coordinators, faculty, staff and students to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Works with campus CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to monitor, track, prioritize, schedule and assign work orders, preventative maintenance, and projects
  • Provides budget and estimates within the department, and to requesting departments
  • Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, noting when obstacles may impact outcomes
  • Researches and analyzes information and uses standard practices to make informed judgments and recommendations
  • Promotes a positive work environment
Shift

On-call work may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,223-$70,880 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
