ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya is seeking an experienced and methodical Agile Transformation Leader to drive operational excellence within our product organization. This leadership role will report to the VP of Product Operations and work closely with and in support of our CMO, CTO, and GM of Product and their leadership teams. The ideal candidate will strengthen our product organization through the implementation of disciplined processes, operational frameworks, and efficient systems that enable our product teams to deliver exceptional value to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

*Build and lead an agile transformation function to drive consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across product teams
*Standardize tools, processes, and practices across the product organization
*Operationalize the development lifecycle process, from idea to delivery
*Implement effective portfolio management and resource allocation processes
*Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms for process performance
*Establish a framework for prioritization that balances strategic initiatives with customer commitments
*Serve as the bridge between G2M and the product leadership team to ensure alignment.

Process Excellence & Standardization

*Bolster product management discipline through standardized processes, tools, and methodologies
*Implement and enforce best practices for initiative prioritization, feature definition, and tracking
*Establish clear criteria for MVP definition and value realization assessment
*Develop and maintain product management templates, documentation, and best practices
*Create mechanisms to track and measure feature adoption and success
*Ensure product requirements meet quality standards and "Definition of Ready" criteria

Planning & Execution Support

*Implement effective planning routines that balance customer commitments with strategic initiatives
*Create a system for managing dependencies across teams to ensure on-time delivery
*Develop processes to reduce work in progress (WIP) and minimize carryover work between cycles
*Establish clear definitions of done (DoD) that include appropriate quality and performance metrics
*Implement transparency in delivery progress, risks, and trade-off decisions
*Build mechanisms for early identification and escalation of delivery risks

Metrics & Analytics

*Design and implement product metrics and KPIs across the product portfolio
*Create dashboards and reporting systems to track product development progress
*Develop analytics capabilities to measure product performance and customer adoption

Tools & Technology

*Manage and optimize product management tools (ProductBoard, Pendo, etc.)
*Ensure integration and alignment between product and engineering tools
*Train product teams on tool usage and best practices

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of product or operations-related experience
* Experience in enterprise software, preferably in communications, contact center, or cloud solutions
* Deep understanding of product management best practices and methodologies
* Product management, Agile, and/or operations certifications a plus
* Proven track record of leading agile transformation, operational, and process change initiatives within complex organizations.
* Strong expertise in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Aha, ProductBoard, Pendo, etc.)
* Experience working with distributed global teams
* Track record of successful operational improvements in product organizations
* Demonstrated program and project management experience.
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

The pay range for this opportunity is from $166,000 to $224,000 + performance-related bonus + benefits

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and location
