NSWCPD C512 Overview

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support organization for the Navy's ships, submarines, military watercraft and unmanned vehicles. This requirement is for NSWCPD Code 512, which is responsible for supporting the machinery control systems (MCS) on USS Freedom (LCS-1), USS Independence (LCS-2), USS Constellation (FFG-62), Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS), Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC), Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF), Navy Fleet Oilers (T-AO)s, and other ship classes of US Navy surface ships under the NSWCPD Code 512 purview. NSWCPD Code 512 supports the development, modernization, acquisition, and life cycle maintenance of the Machinery Control Systems for these ship classes.

Position Overview

Pantheon is seeking Operations Specialist. This role will support a Workstream Lead by ensuring smooth operational execution across the assigned workstream. This role involves managing business operations, optimizing processes, and providing strategic support to enhance the workstream's efficiency and effectiveness. The Operations Specialist will work closely with the Workstream Lead, Program Manager, and other stakeholders to support the successful delivery of workstream objectives.

Responsibilities



  • Report directly to the Workstream Lead and support all operations within the assigned workstream.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure efficient execution of workstream activities.
  • Optimize processes and workflows to enhance workstream performance.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to support workstream goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze workstream performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, updates, and recommendations to the Workstream Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of operational activities with program goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive working environment within the workstream team.


Required Skills and Experience



  • High school diploma or HS equivalency certificate is acceptable with additional years of experience as defined in the next category.
  • Minimum of Two (2) years of professional experience in operations support
  • Strong knowledge of operations principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in business operations software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Active DoD Clearance.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
