About the Team

The Rejuvenation photo team consists of highly passionate, collaborative and process driven thinkers and artists. As part of the team, you'll bring your well-honed project management skills and eye for design and detail to the table. This role is responsible for designing our best in class sets and management of the set team.

About the Role

You will collaborate with creative and photo studio leaders to design sets that are authoritative and industry relevant utilizing your excellent taste and design skills to ensure final execution is on brand and aligns with business goals. In addition, this role supports brand initiatives in the core home spaces of kitchen and bathroom with innovative, on brand, and on trend designs.

Responsibilities



  • Ensure the integrity of the design is maintained through attention to detail, project management, and quality control.
  • Project manages the design to final execution on deadline and on budget with close collaboration with Creative director, Sr. Manager, Operations and set team.
  • Manage all aspects of the set workshop - organization, maintenance, and storage of set components, tools, and sample materials.
  • Own the space planning strategy each season balancing the needs of campaign, evergreen, and the limits of the studio.
  • Draw sets using Sketch Up and present renders to creative team on schedule. Work closely with the creative team to make updates, giving your design pov and execution feedback.
  • Source and purchase building/set materials and material samples.
  • Maintain a building sample library and stay current on home material trends.
  • Liaison with brand partners to order materials and communicate delivery schedule with the production team.
  • Make design adjustments to sets during photo when needed and be part of photo hindsight's constantly adjusting sets to work best for photo needs.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis.
  • Own the set design, build, and team schedule.
  • Track spending for all set materials and labor and work with the Sr. Manager, Operations to be strategic about the budget.
  • Forecast set labor and material costs per fiscal period and approve/code invoices.
  • Create accurate construction drawings for set team based on approved designs.
  • Onboard and seek new talent for set team.
  • Operate a computer and communicate via telephone


Criteria



  • Minimum of 5 years of set or theater design experience.
  • High taste level, design sensibility, and understanding of the home space.
  • Proficiency in using Sketch Up, or related product such as CAD, Rhino.
  • Strong project management experience, preferably in set building or theater.
  • Can frequently bend, twist, push, and pull. You are able to lift and carry large, bulky items including furniture. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to operate power and hand tools.
  • Can operate warehouse tools and machinery, including forklift, maintenance lift, pallet jack, ladders, etc.
  • Moderate proficiency in using Microsoft office products, specifically Excel.
  • Employment to this role will be contingent on successful completion of a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and DOT certification (to include DMV check).
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the Portland office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
