Automation Engineer

Under limited/minimal supervision, the Automation Engineer is an experienced role that is responsible for robotic programming, troubleshooting and simulation. May be responsible for developing and deploying capital projects.

• Responsible for robotic programming, troubleshooting, and simulation
• Responsible for creating and troubleshooting ladder logic, function block and structured text
• Integration of equipment from design, controls, mechanical system to final production
• Will work on tool design and troubleshoot
• Coordinate project stages, task tracking and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (electrical engineering preferred) with 2-5 years of experience
• AutoCAD electrical drawing or equivalent required, 3D modeling preferred
• Experience with Fanuc, ABB, Kuka preferred
• Experience creating and troubleshooting ladder logic, function block, structured text - PLC
• Networking experience - manufacturing execution system (Ignition or FT - Optics, Kepware, SQL)
• Experience working with automated equipment
• Experience with capital requests
• Lean manufacturing and cell concepts are a plus
